CNA/CHHA - Home Care
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to clients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia, developmental disabilities, or in hospice care
- Knowledge of tube feeding techniques and medication administration
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and their families
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs
