MT/CLS or MLT - Laboratory
Full time position for a Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Specialist (CLS) or Medical Lab Technologist (MLT). The MT/CLS/MLT collects and prepares various body fluids for a variety of tests as directed by physician and governed by established procedures. Laboratory tests performed include chemistry, hematology, bacteriology, urinalysis, serology and blood banking, evaluating for infection or abnormalities. The incumbent performs prescribed and scheduled equipment maintenance on laboratory equipment to assure efficient continuing operation and investigates and corrects simple instruments malfunctions.
Knowledge and Experience:
To be successful in this position as MT/CLS, the incumbent should have education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor Degree in a science field, and further Clinical Laboratory Certification through training/testing in an established clinical laboratory training programs. The position of Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) requires an associate degree/registration as a medical laboratory technician or HEW certification.
