Responsibilities
Organize, file, and maintain comprehensive medical records for home health patients, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
Retrieve and distribute medical records promptly to authorized personnel, including clinicians and administrative staff
Input data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately, updating patient information as needed
Review medical documentation for completeness and compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
Assist with the scanning, indexing, and digitization of paper records into electronic formats to enhance accessibility
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify or obtain missing or unclear medical information
Ensure all records are stored securely in accordance with legal and organizational policies
Support audits and compliance reviews by providing organized documentation and reports upon request
Requirements
Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred
Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical record management software
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical documentation
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and team members
Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with *Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
