Speech-Language Pathologist, PRN - Therapy
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team during high census times as well as vacations and other time of short staffing. In this role, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services to patients of all ages, focusing on strategies to enhance communication skills. You will work closely with patients, their families, and medical staff to assess and address speech and language disorders, ensuring each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
Develop and execute individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills.
Collaborate with family members and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Provide education and resources to families regarding speech development and therapy techniques.
Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid state license or certification to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Experience across multiple healthcare environments, such as acute care, outpatient, home health, and long-term care .
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices.
Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with speech and language delays as well as terminal diagnosis treatment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
