Accounts Receivable and Claims Clerk - Home Care
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Marion County Home Care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the department's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, invoicing, claims processing and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in relevant software applications.
Duties
Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
Submit and process all claims according the the payor requirements.
Prepare and send out invoices to clients in accordance with established schedules.
Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with clients to negotiate payment terms.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Assist in the preparation of journal entries related to accounts receivable activities.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve the revenue cycle management process.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation related to accounts receivable.
Utilize accounting software to manage financial data effectively.
Requirements
Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
Familiarity with accounting practices is a plus. Proficient in using accounting software is advantageous
Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate payment arrangements with clients.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information Position Type : Part Time Shift : Day Hourly Wage: $16.72 - $19.86 per/hour
